Title:Irish pork product off shelves Date:Tuesday,December 9th 2008Contaminated Irish pork may have been exported to as many as 25 countries ,Ireland chief veterinarian has warned as shops at home and abroad clear the meat from their shelves amid fears of a cancer link .Mr Paddy Rogan remarks came after ministers last saturday ordered all pork products from Ireland to be withdrawn,as dioxin,which could cause cancer , were found in slaugthered pigs thought to have eaten contaminated feed .The recall involves products processed since September 1st.Ireland is major exporter of pork, with Britian by its biggest market , followed by Germany,France , Russia and Japan. Other major export destinations include China and Hong Kong . Japan ,South Korea and Singapore , which imported about 516,000 kg of pork product from Ireland in the past three months , have already suspended imports from the country . Irish officals and police are investigating the possible source of the contaminated feed a plant run by Millstream power recycling near Fenagh, county Carlow in south -west Ireland . Mr David Curtin, a firm spokeman ,said what was under investigation was oil used in machinery used to dry the the recycled bread prodoucts and dough to that made up the feed's ingredients . He deined that any oil or other substances had been added to the feed during processing.
I felt very scared because that recently , alot of food products have problems to cause people to fell ill or have bad health.
